Rudi Peeters appointed new CEO of Vandersanden

Peeters takes over from Jean-Pierre Wuytack, who has been at the helm of the company for 33 years

Vandersanden, one of Europe’s largest brick manufacturers, appointed a new CEO on 1 October this year. Rudi Peeters, the first external CEO in the family company’s history, takes over from Jean-Pierre Wuytack who has been at the helm of the company for 33 years.

After studying Biology at the KU Leuven, Rudi Peeters began his career at KBC in 1986. He held a series of high-level positions over the years and in 2011 was appointed ICT general manager.

“I have every confidence that, with Rudi, Vandersanden is in good hands. He is the right person in the right place to take our company to the next level,” said Wuytack, who was instrumental in transforming Vandersanden from a local company to a European leader in the brick industry.

Under the leadership of Rudi Peeters, Vandersanden will continue to build on the strengths of the family business: a high-quality product portfolio, a strong team, the company’s family culture, and its many achievements in sustainability and innovation. At the same time it will set itself new growth goals and focus on digitalisation.

The Vandersanden family will remain closely involved with the company, including through the Board of Directors.
