Vandersanden appoints new CEO
Johan Deburchgrave takes over from Rudi Peeters.
On 1 January 2024, Johan Deburchgrave became the new CEO of Belgium-based Vandersanden, one of Europe’s largest brick manufacturers.
Former chief strategy officer at Unilin Group, Deburchgrave has held executive positions at companies such as Etex and IVC Group and has more than 30 years of experience in the international construction-related industry.
His mission is to enhance the company’s business model and adopt growth-oriented strategies in the areas of innovation, digitalisation and sustainability.
Deburchgrave takes over from Rudi Peeters, who led Vandersanden through the turbulent waters of the past two years, with coronavirus and the energy crisis, and implemented several highly successful projects such as Pirrouet®, the first CO2-negative facing brick.
