Sacmi focuses on the environment and acquires 100% ownership of Eurofilter
On 1 August this year, Sacmi officially acquired 100% ownership of Eurofilter, a leading provider of environmental services to the ceramic industry and other sectors with more than 2,500 systems installed worldwide. Eurofilter, in which Sacmi already owned a 20% stake since 2015, will play an important role in the Group’s development plans, providing green solutions and services that can be applied to multiple businesses and reflect the growing importance of the environmental aspects of smart production 4.0.
Founded in 1968, the company has around 60 employees and produces dust extraction systems and solutions for waste and process water treatment, fume capture and treatment, and heat recovery.
The opportunity to operate as part of the Sacmi Global Network will allow the company to achieve further growth in international markets and to anticipate trends in regulations and environmental awareness.
Claudio Marani, Sacmi Group’s general manager, believes that the operation will enable the group to plan investments in new business areas in which it already operates, from beverage to metal powder, closures and packaging. “All manufacturing processes have plant engineers whose task is to ensure process quality and workplace health and safety. The ability to offer a comprehensive, integrated range that also includes environmental services represents an added value for Sacmi. We’re well aware that the capacity to reduce pollutants and supply clean conveying systems will play an increasingly important role both in Italy and abroad.”
