Sacmi organises conference for Sassuolo ceramic district
A conference organised by Sacmi for 19 December in the Sacmi Forni headquarters in Casalgrande, Italy will provide an opportunity to prepare for 2009, a year that is expected to pose difficulties and will require an adequate response in terms of technological, organisational and logistic measures.
The conference will be moderated by Giuseppe Miselli, sales manager for Sacmi’s Ceramics Division for the Sassuolo area, and will begin at 16.30 with Acimac chairman Pietro Cassani’s introduction outlining the market situation.
He will be followed by Sergio Sassi, chairman of the Internationalisation Commission of Confindustria Emilia-Romagna and managing director of Emilceramica, who will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the Italian ceramic industry.
The addresses by Vittorio Romiti and Claudio Dall’Osso, representing the sales and parts management of Sacmi’s Ceramics Division, will present Sacmi’s new project to create a Service centre combining the after-sales services of the various companies in the Group for the entire Sassuolo district, which will bring considerable savings in terms of time and logistic efficiency.
As regards technology, Sacmi is focusing on large formats. At the conference Cesare Pegoraro and Stefano Cosmini from Keratech will present the new KM 610 SHD roller, the world’s widest and longest roller which delivers exceptional performance in handling even the largest sizes.
Ferdinando Cassani from Sacmi Imola will address themes of energy saving, which he will illustrate with concrete examples of systems that can be applied to conventional kilns currently operated by the leading ceramic companies.
Lastly, Alberto Castelfranco from the sales management of Sacmi’s Heavy Clay Division, will for the first time provide a detailed picture of the innovative systems for construction of ventilated facades for external cladding of buildings.
The conference programme and application form are attached.
