Sacmi supplies first porcelain tile plant in Bulgaria
The line, which will begin production in February 2004, consists of a new spray dryer capable of evaporating more than 5,000 litres per hour, a 2,000 tonne press with vertical dryer and a high-capacity roller kiln. The Sacmi Group has also supplied a box system for tile handling and storage in which the boxes are moved by magnetically guided vehicles.
With this new plant, the Khan Asparuh Group aims to consolidate its leadership position in the Bulgarian ceramic tile market by extending its product range. It will become the first company in the country capable of producing wall tiles, floor tiles, porcelain tiles and third-fire decorated accents.
