Sacmi supplies record presses to Rocersa
Two record presses built by the Imola-based group Sacmi were recently installed in Rocersa production facilities. One, the model PH 6200, was the 10,000th press produced by Sacmi, while the other, a PH 7500 XXL, is the largest press in the world. With a free clearance between columns of 2450 mm and a maximum pressing force of 7,500 tons, this model is ideal for simultaneously pressing two 800 x 800 mm porcelain tiles as well as other large and very large sizes currently popular on the market.
The PH 6200 was officially launched on 13 December last year during a ceremony at which Sacmi presented Rocersa with a small silver press to commemorate the decades-long process of industrial growth and focus on cutting-edge technology.
Sacmi's activity in this field began in the early 1950s when the group developed the first mechanical friction press. An innovative machine for the times, it was built with the same attention to cutting-edge technology and durability that continues to characterise Sacmi machinery today and has led the Group to produce increasingly sophisticated machinery adopted by a growing number of ceramic companies around the world.
