Saloni Ceramica to plan its supply chain

Saloni Ceramica to plan its supply chain6 December 2002 - Ceramica Saloni has chosen DPM - Distribution Planning Model from Toolsgroup for supply chain planning. The agreement was signed following a project successfully conducted by Toolsgroup to optimise demand planning processes. Ceramica Saloni has expanded constantly since it was founded in 1971 to become one of the leading Spanish tile manufacturers. Saloni is based in San Juan de Moro (Castellon), where it has a 240,000 sq.m warehouse area and employs a workforce of more than 800 people. It has an annual turnover in excess of 72 million euro and exports its products to more than a hundred countries worldwide, with branches in France, Italy, Portugal, UK and USA.
The ceramic group will adopt DPM technology for supply chain planning and production plan management, a key factor in the ceramic sector. The company believes that optimising its logistic chain will allow it to obtain more precise sales forecasts, reduce stock, cut logistic costs and ultimately assure a higher level of service to end customers.
Toolsgroup has already gained enormous experience in supply chain planning in the most diverse industrial sectors: distributors of chemical products, hardware, pharmaceuticals, distributors of electrical and electronic components, spare parts, building, retail, fashion, etc. Toolsgroup's customers include sector leaders such as Repsol, Luxottica, Ferrari Auto, Delphi Automotive Systems, PC City, Castrol and Manfrotto.
