"Secrets of the kiln" by Dionigi Marmi
The book is published by Aedo Editore, a company belonging to the Colorobbia Group, and edited by Fausto Berti, director of the Montelupo Archaeology and Ceramic Museum.
Discovered in the Wellcome Library in London, the manuscripts contain the writings of an extraordinary figure who in the 17th century collected notebooks describing the ceramic techniques of his predecessors dating as far back as the early 15th century.
The book also contains a hundred and thirty formulas for glazes, ceramic and glass colours and thirty recipes for hardening and gilding of metals.
