Selmi and Pifferi join GranitiFiandre top management
Selmi, 36, who has a decade of experience as managing director and since 2001 as both chairman and managing director of Coem, was appointed to the board of directors with responsibilities for the economic side of company activities.
Pifferi, who was general manager from 1994 and subsequently executive managing director from 2001 to April 2006 of the Marazzi Group S.p.A., listed on the Milan Stock Market on 15 February 2006, was appointed Chief Operating Officer on the Board of the American subsidiary Stonepeak Ceramics Inc.
“I am very pleased and reassured that we have acquired two such expert top managers, who will certainly contribute to improving the performance of both the Granitifiandre parent company and the American subsidiary Stonepeak,” commented Romano Minozzi, the main shareholder of Granitifiandre.
“In particular, they will help Stonepeak achieve excellent profit results following the significant high-quality investments made by the group in the North American market.”
Chairman and managing director Graziano Verdi declared: “I believe that the appointment of these two important top managers as well as the substantial growth over the half-year period and the major USD 12.2 million contract recently secured in the United States are all positive factors that will allow us to secure profit growth.”
Graziano Verdi and Alberto Selmi, the newly appointed economic managing director, announced their decision to each acquire at least one million euro of shareholdings in Granitifiandre by the end of 2006.
