Sepor starts up with Barbieri & Tarozzi

19/09/06 - The newly formed Spanish ceramic company Segorbe Porcelanico (Sepor), located in the eponymous town of Segorbe (province of Castellón), will start up production in early 2007.
Sepor, whose shareholders consist of a group of private investors and managers with many years of experience in the Spanish ceramic industry, will enter the high-end porcelain tile segment.

It will use a totally innovative powder preparation process deriving from its successful technological and engineering partnership with the Italian group Barbieri #38; Tarozzi.

The latest-generation production line supplied by the Formigine, Modena-based group consists of high-tonnage presses (7200 tons), two fast dryers and a 126.54-metre single-channel roller kiln.
The line is also served by an innovative system for preparing, mixing and feeding powders into the presses, as well as a complete storage and automatic handling system with the latest-generation LGV vehicles.
The supplied equipment also includes a Smart Line automatic sorting line. The new complete line will allow Sepor to produce through-bodied porcelain tile in medium and large sizes (up to a max. size of 600x1200 mm) with a production capacity of 6,000 square metres per day.
The plant is built ready to be doubled at a later time.
