Sermat to supply new plant to Sassuolo-based company Bal-Co

The solution will increase productivity and make the existing plant more flexible and suited to the changing needs of the market.

LB Group company Sermat has signed a supply agreement with Sassuolo-based firm Bal-Co, a longstanding producer of industrial and agricultural mineral compounds (processing, micronising, mixing, drying and packaging).

The agreement is for a weighted pneumatic conveying system complete with equipment for material storage (zeolites, kaolins and clays), screw extraction from 7 silos and overhead conveyance to feed the bagging machine or to fill big bags directly on the weighing scale.

The solution will increase Bal-Co’s productivity and make the existing plant more flexible and suited to the changing needs of the market, partly through the use of the latest generation Industry 4.0 software.

This supply agreement enables Sermat to extend its technologies to other sectors outside the traditional ceramic market.
