Setec takes over the activities of Vicentini

27/07/07 - Setec, a Civita Castellana-based company that specialises in technologies for the sanitaryware industry, recently took over the activities of the historic company Vicentini, founded in Cavazzale (province of Vicenza) in 1946.
With this operation Setec aims to strengthen its activities in the sectors of tableware, terracotta pavers and flowerpots and to offer its customers complete turnkey plants like those already supplied to the sanitaryware sector.
Vicentini has ceased operating and has transferred to Setec its know-how, engineering, machinery, warehouses and clientele.
Setec has in turn created the Vicentini division that will manage the new business??s activities.
According to Setec??s chairman Domenico Fortuna, who led the operation, the two facilities will be integrated from a commercial standpoint to exploit all potential synergies in the various markets while remaining almost completely independent on a technical level.
Machine assembly and part of the production engineering will henceforth be performed at the Setec factory in Cività Castellana while components will continue to be produced in specialist workshops in Vicenza.
Domenico Fortuna believes that his new operation will allow Setec to improve its presence in international and domestic markets and to increase its critical mass, thereby strengthening its role as an excellent supplier of technologically advanced products.
