Sicer acquires majority stake in SOL-INK and makes its debut at Indian Ceramics

In addition to the existing range of inks and digital materials, the new company Sicer – Inkera will soon begin producing glazes and ceramic compounds along with technical grits and specialties for glazing high-end ceramic surfaces.​

In addition to its customary presence at Cevisama 2019 in Valencia through its subsidiary Sicer Spain (Hall N3-P3, Stand D48) and at Coverings 2019 in Orlando through Sicer Mx (Booth 3613), this year Sicer Spa will be making its debut at the international exhibition Indian Ceramics to be held in Gandhinagar (India) from 28 February to 1 March, where it will have a stand in the Italian pavilion (Hall 2, stand B321).

In January 2019, Sicer Spa completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Morbi, India-based company SOL-INK, for years the market leader in the production and distribution of ceramic digital inks under the INKERA brand name and a supplier to the top ceramic groups in the market.

In addition to the existing range of inks and digital materials, the new company Sicer - Inkera will soon begin producing glazes and ceramic compounds along with the well-known technical grits and specialties for glazing high-end ceramic surfaces.

A highly professional and experienced team of Italian engineers will work alongside the Indian technicians in developing and producing high-quality products with the aim of becoming the go-to supplier for all large Indian ceramic groups.

Building on Sicer’s already extensive global presence with facilities in Spain, Mexico and Indonesia, this new acquisition will enable the group to continue its internationalisation policy aimed at establishing production plants in the world’s key areas of ceramic production. As a result, it will be able to supply high-quality products and guarantee a high level of technical support and service.

The new products to be unveiled by Sicer this year at Cevisama, Coverings and Indian Ceramics will focus in particular on the production of large ceramic slabs, including the exclusive VIBRANT RED SCD088E and BRILLANT YELLOW SCD018E digital inks and a range of technical grits (GHR high resistance series, G R A-LUX series for mirror honing and other applications).

The company is also planning the international market launch of its new range of low-emission digital inks, the .LE - LOW EMISSION series first presented at Cersaie 2018.
