SITI B&T Group concludes one of its largest projects in Peru
Cerámicos Gala, a member of the Peruvian group Aris Industrial, has installed a new complete plant supplied by Siti B&T Group to upgrade its factory in Lurín, south of Lima, bringing production capacity to 9 million sq.m/year.
The plant consists of two latest-generation EVO 3.0 2808/1750 presses, a 5-layer 2850/3000 dryer with completely independent layers, a Titanium® kiln, a digital printer and a sorting line. The presses are equipped with E-Synchro®, the innovative and fully electromechanical demoulding system that provides a reliable and extremely accurate way of operating the mould’s lower punch in a synchronized manner according to the type of product and at the same time enables uneven densities and variations in size to be corrected.
The Titanium® kiln, with an entrance width of 3200 mm and length of 133.2 m, is equipped with an MHR 230° heat recovery system and guarantees top performance in terms of product quality and energy efficiency, with savings of up to 30% and more consistent tones and sizes compared to a traditional kiln.
The highly versatile EVO H8 printer built by Projecta Engineering has been chosen for digital decoration. Equipped with Seiko printheads and an ALD (Alternative Line Device) system, it delivers greater flexibility and higher ink firing and discharge speeds.
The plant also features a Smartline sorting line with outstanding simplicity of use and reliability thanks to the supervision system’s new touch-screen interface.
