SITI B&T Group wins major orders in Spain
SITI B&T Group has further strengthened its longstanding presence in the Spanish market, where its subsidiary B&T Iberica has been operating since 1981, by fulfilling large orders from four dynamic ceramic companies: Azulmed, Bestile, Compacglass and Cerámicas Mimas.
All orders were for cutting-edge technology designed and built specifically for the production of large panels and slabs, which improve competitiveness by combining maximum productivity with considerable energy savings.
As part of the upgrade process at the Azulmed facility in Castellón de la Plana, SITI B&T supplied drying, forming and firing machinery. In particular this included an industry-first 7-layer dryer with an entrance width of 4000 mm and a single-chamber, which combines very high productivity (16,000 sq.m/day) with the need for limited floor space by extending vertically. Four EVO 5008/2450 presses were installed in the forming department, while two XXL 3500 single-layer kilns (lengths 202 and 213 m) equipped with an innovative hot air recovery system and Titanium® burners were supplied for firing.
An EVO 5008/2450 press, two Titanium® 3250 single-layer kilns (lengths 126 m and 133 m) and a vertical dryer were supplied to the Bestile ceramic manufacturer in Alcora, while Compacglass, a well-known Pamesa Group brand based in Onda, upgraded its firing zone with the installation of an XXL Titanium® 3500 twin-channel kiln (length 128 m) with hot air recovery system.
Last but not least, SITI B&T supplied Alcora-based manufacturer Cerámicas Mimas with a large entrance width 3200 double-channel kiln (length 122 m) equipped with an MHR hot air recovery system.
Siti B&T Group will be at Tecnargilla, Hall 3, where it will be presenting its new Smart Factory 4.0 project.
