SITI-B&T supplies equipment to Keramikos, Cerpa and Compaglass
During 2011, SITI-B&T has completed three major supply contracts in the Spanish market.
A new SITI-B&T roller kiln has been started up at Keramikos, a producer of trim pieces based in Onda, that is highly attentive to design and product quality. The new line, consisting of a single-channel roller kiln with 2,650 mm infeed width and total length of 66.6 metres, will enable to increase the production capacity of the facility and expand the product range. The latest-generation kiln features a heat recovery system that will allow it to reduce both fuel consumption and gas emissions to the environment. By combining high-velocity burners and special radial burners, the kiln achieves excellent results in terms of specific consumption, calibre, colour tones and flatness. The line is also equipped with a kiln loading machine.
Also in Castellón, at Cerpa, SITI-B&T has installed a new single-channel roller kiln with 2,850 mm infeed width and total length of 106.56 metres sized for the production of floor tiles, wall tiles and porcelain tile up to lengths of 900 mm. The plant is equipped with a heat recovery system which recuperates the hot air at the cooling flue outlet by means of insulated pipes to prevent heat losses and then conveys this hot air at a temperature of 120ºC to the burners. This results in fuel savings of around 5%. The kiln is also equipped with kiln loading and unloading machines.
Thirdly, Compacglass, belonging to the Pamesa Group, has installed last summer a new production line to increase production capacity. The plants consists of an EVO 3608/2450 hydraulic press (3600 ton pressing force and useful clearance between columns of 2450 mm), a vertical dryer and a single-channel roller kiln with entrance width of 3200 mm and a length of 97.68 metres. The line also features l kiln oading and unloading machines, as well as a heat recovery system to reduce fuel consumption.
