Soltek changes corporate structure

12/10/05 - Soltek, a company from Fornacette (province of Pisa, Italy) that was founded in 2001 and specialises in the production of complementary and product finishing machinery, recently changed its corporate structure.
The family of Roberto Signorini took over total control of the company, acquiring the 50% stake previously held by his brother Renzo. The latter also sold the entire capital of Comes, a company that has long been operating in the sector of components and machinery for marble production.

The new managing director of Soltek is Roberto’s son Giuliano Signorini, who has been working for the Group for 12 years. Roberto Signorini stays on as President, while Eugenio Corbellini and Giuseppe Sani have been appointed sales managers and Luca Dariozzi technical manager.

Soltek has achieved steady growth during its first few years of operation and in the first half of 2005 secured major contracts in Italy and abroad, exports accounting for 70% of its total turnover. In Spain in particular, Soltek supplied Ceracasa (Cabrera Group) with two complete polishing lines for special terrazzo and porcelain tile products.
In January 2005 a complete porcelain tile and terrazzo polishing line began production at the ceramic tile manufacturer Peronda, and in March a complete line for porcelain tile production came on stream at Grespania.
In the other foreign markets, principally the Far East, Turkey, North Africa and South America, Soltek is continuing to establish itself as a supplier of high-quality calibrating and polishing heads which allow customer companies to modernise their plants for very small investments.

In addition to the expansion of its product range with new technological solutions, including an innovative dry cutting machine, another of the initial activities planned by the new management is to upgrade support to Italian customers. For this purpose, Soltek recently opened at Veggia di Casalgrande (province of Reggio Emilia) a service point and warehouse managed in cooperation with Edison Sistemi, which has been commissioned to perform electrical and electronic maintenance of the company’s machinery.
