Durst and Altadia Group have announced a new strategic partnership that will see the two companies work together to develop innovative products for the ceramic industry. At the end of May, Durst will install a new Gamma DG digital glazing machine and a Durst Gamma XD digital tile printer at the technology centre in Sassuolo owned by Esmalglass, an internationally renowned pioneer in the development of frits, glazes, colours and inks for the ceramic industry.
The revolutionary glazing technology developed by Durst is capable of creating unlimited digital textures using high-viscosity ceramic glazes. It will operate in perfect synchronisation with Gamma XD to create naturally looking tiles with unprecedented ease and flexibility.
The project will be carried out at the Esmalglass pilot plant in the heart of the Sassuolo ceramic district, where the company will use Durst’s cutting-edge technology to intensify its R&D activities aimed at developing new products to be placed on the market. This new plant will be used to pioneer future trends in digital production of surfaces with a uniquely natural look. At the same time, it will focus strongly on environmental sustainability, an aspect that both companies see as a key asset.
This partnership between two leading companies in their respective fields aims to nurture innovation in the ceramic industry by exploring new horizons in tile decoration. Durst and Altadia Group’s shared goal is to contribute to the development of value-added products that meet the need for differentiation and uniqueness in today’s ceramic tile market.
