Surfaces Group forges ahead with its internationalisation plans
The Italian group recently set up new branches in Russia and India alongside those already operating in Brazil, USA, Spain, Portugal, Turkey and Poland.
Surfaces Group, one of the world’s largest producers of technologies, tools and chemical products for ceramic surface finishing under the Surfaces, ADI, A.S. Tools and No Coat brand names, is forging ahead with its internationalisation plans.
Along with branches already up and running in Brazil, USA, Spain, Portugal, Turkey and Poland, last year the group opened Surfaces Vostok, a branch office based in the Moscow region which will provide Russian tile producers with the support of a highly-qualified technical and sales team and a spare parts warehouse.
This was followed in December by the opening of the new Indian branch located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Headed up by Chintan Dave, a professional who has been collaborating with the Italian group for many years, Surfaces India will be equipped to perform abrasive gluing operations and the production of tools for chemical treatment application, as well as providing technical support to companies operating in the Morbi district.
As in other markets, demand is growing in both Russia and India for large-size tiles and slabs, a critical factor being the added value provided by the final surface machining operations (pre-squaring, semi-polishing, protective treatments, cutting into sub-sizes and final squaring).
