System Ceramics modernises its Foshan site
In response to strong growth in the Chinese market, System Ceramics is opening a larger and more modern site in the Foshan district, where it has been present since 2004.
The expansion of System Ceramics in China mirrors the growth of the local ceramics industry, which underwent an extensive process of technological modernisation in 2020 despite the limitations imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The majority of new investments were allocated to the installation of lines for the production of large slabs of various thicknesses. This is a segment in which System Ceramics is a world leader, and in China in particular has an estimated market share of around 30-33%. It has installed around 30 Lamgea and Superfast presses in the last two years and also boasts installations of more than 400 high-definition Creadigit digital decoration systems, a technology that has proved extremely popular in China due to its high level of versatility and graphic quality.
In response to this strong demand for advanced technology, System Ceramics China inaugurated its larger and more modern new premises in Foshan last May to replace the previous site which since 2004 had been providing assistance to the leading manufacturers in China’s largest ceramic district.
The new site employs 40 people and occupies an area of approximately 1,800 square metres on three floors. It features a storage area with high-bay warehouses for spare parts, a showroom for displaying tiles and slabs made with Lamgea and Superfast presses and for hosting demonstrations of System Ceramics machinery, offices and meeting rooms equipped with maxi screens and ultra-fast connections to ensure a rapid service in any situation.
The aim is to further improve customer service in terms of technical and sales support and the supply of spare parts.
