Tau Cerámica and the domotic tile

17/10/06 - In cooperation with Lartec, a leading Spanish manufacturer of digital products for the home, Tau Cerámica is developing an innovative domotic tile that integrates digital home management technologies into the ceramic product.

The new product has a sophisticated design that makes it uniform with the rest of the tiles installed in the home and was developed in accordance with the fundamental principles of Design For All.

It uses standard symbols to indicate the functions as well as text in Braille.

Domotic functions performed by the tile, which is still at the prototype stage, include rolling shutter, light and heating control.
