Tecna Next Design launched

Tecna Next is expanding the space on the platform devoted to ceramic design. The Design Talks will kick off on 22 February with an interview with Valentina Downey, president of ADI Emilia Romagna.

​A new section devoted entirely to ceramic design was launched a few days ago on the Tecna Next platform (www.tecnanext.com). Called Tecna Next Design, the new space explores ceramic surface trends through studies and in-depth analyses conducted by leading Italian design firms.

The new section also hosts Timeless Surfaces, the online showcase of colours and materials curated by the practice AzzoliniTinuper and present on the platform since its debut last October, as well as Italian Design Surfaces, a dynamic space envisioned as a thinktank of creativity and featuring mood boards, meetings and talks on the latest aesthetic and technical developments in the field of surfaces. The participating companies are Digital Design, Ego Design, Inkside, Stylgraph, Tecnografica and TosiLab.

The Design Talks, organised by Materiali Casa and Surfaces International for the Tecna Next Design section, will consist of a series of interviews with international designers and architects offering in-depth analysis of current and future scenarios in the world of surface design. The initiative will launch on Monday 22 February at 10.30 a.m. (CET) with a livestreamed Zoom interview with product and strategic designer Valentina Downey, president of ADI Emilia Romagna.

The interview will be conducted in Italian and will be repeated on Tuesday 23 February at 10.30 a.m. (CET) in English. Recordings of the interviews will subsequently be published on tecnanext.com.
