Tecnargilla and mosaic

A workshop organised by Tecnargilla in cooperation with Acimac (Italian ceramic plant and machinery manufacturers' association) was held on 29 March this year as part of the "Tendenza Mosaico" exhibition in Pordenone aimed at architects and producers.

The purpose of the event was to promote dialogue between suppliers of machinery, materials and services for the ceramic industry and producers and architects, who are increasingly interested in keeping abreast of the technical and aesthetic developments of ceramic tiles. It addressed technology as well as design and aesthetics.

The event enjoyed the support of Fiera di Pordenone and the magazine Ottagono. Keynote addresses were given by leading business figures whose companies will be taking part in the next Tecnargilla. The audience included some fifty architects and producers, mainly mosaic producers from the district of Spilimbergo in the Friuli region.
Paolo Lamberti (Tecnografica), representative of Acimac's Screen Printing Company Group, discussed design and machinery in the report entitled "Study and development of new products and aesthetic solutions". Gustavo Ferrarese (Esmalglass) gave an address focusing on the creation of colour trends and the creative interaction between sectors such as fashion, interior furnishing and sensorial marketing. Claudio Avanzi (BMR) concluded the conference with a more technological address on "Cutting and finishing of ceramic products".

Relations with manufacturers of ceramic materials and architects will continue to be promoted at the Tecnargilla 2008 (30 September - 4 October), where the Kromatech section devoted to ceramic aesthetics will host new products, materials, decorations and aesthetic codes.
