Tecnargilla Design Award - Esmalglass
Esagraffiti
Porcelain wall tile designed for regeneration of degraded urban spaces. The aim is to combine the work of graffiti artists with the possibility of applying these designs to a substrate suitable for industrialisation of the process and application in the building industry.
The idea of a hexagon as a module derives from the interpretation of the pixel as a basic code element, accentuating the rules of graphic representation to create a new concept.
Hello Graffiti
Porcelain wall tile designed for regeneration of degraded urban spaces. It is based on the same design philosophy as Esagraffiti and features a universally familiar postmodern icon: Hello Kitty, the Japanese kitten that continues to appeal to children and adults alike. On the panel it appears amongst clouds and flowers, forming part of more delicate graffiti.
