Tecnargilla preview: Comet presents new RWL 1800

Comet, a Civita Castellana (Viterbo) based sanitaryware machinery manufacturer, has supplied a new plant to Ceramica Kerasan, a longstanding ceramic producer.

The supply package consists of the new version of the RWL 1800 two-head grinding machine equipped with a system for detecting roughness of the profile by means of a laser reader.
With its two orthogonal heads, this machine is capable of grinding large-size washbasins and consoles (especially for the contract market), WCs and bidets and attains a very high standard polished surface and 90 degree angles.
The possibility of regulating the feed rate and work speed by means of a simple operator interface avoids scratching the enamelled part.
The machine is also equipped with a system for controlling the transmitted torque in order to slow down the feed rate in the event of a very rough surface.
All the machine movements are interpolated to assure almost infinite regularity of the trajectories travelled.

The plant will be presented at the Comet stand (hall C5 stand no. 127) at the forthcoming Tecnargilla.
