Tecno Diamant and 2IG Corp: strategic growth through a network of partner companies

Tecno Diamant’s exclusive US distributor 2IG has signed a distribution agreement with Spanish company Maincer which will further boost sales of the Italian company’s diamond tools

Tecno Diamant, a Formigine, Modena-based company that has been specialising in the production of diamond tools for porcelain and natural stone for more than 30 years, is looking to expand in the US market, where it has enjoyed an exclusive distribution partnership with US firm 2IG CORP since 2019. Based in Cookeville, Tennessee, 2IG CORP specialises in the supply of spare parts for local ceramic companies and has a 900 square metre site equipped with the most innovative solutions for treating ceramic materials. It recently also acquired distribution rights for products manufactured by Maincer, a Castellón-based company specialising in the production of cutting and bullnose machinery. This strategic collaboration is part of Tecno Diamant’s internationalisation policy and will further boost overseas business and global distribution of the Formigine-based company’s diamond tools.

Through its network of partner companies, Tecno Diamant will be able to offer end customers its wide and diversified range of high-quality diamond, resinoid and Fickert abrasive tools specially designed for cutting, squaring, lapping, chamfering and profiling porcelain, natural stone and other materials.

Diamond tools are in strong demand in the United States, primarily for squaring but also for lapping (with demand expected to rise sharply in 2023) and spare parts. The largest market share is concentrated in the southern states where the country’s leading ceramic companies are based. To expand its international business, Tecno Diamant has also opened subsidiaries in a number of countries around the world including Spain, Poland, Turkey, Russia, China and Brazil, which guarantee the same level of manufacturing quality as the Italian parent company while providing local customers with service, spare parts and customer care.

Tecno Diamant and 2IG CORP will be present at Coverings 2023 (booth 3676), the most important exhibition in North America for ceramic tiles and natural stone, which will be held from 18 to 21 April at the Orlando Orange County Convention Center.
