"There's something about chemistry" continues its programme
The programme "Tutti pazzi per la chimica" ("There's something about chemistry"), promoted by Ceramicolor, the Italian national association of manufacturers of pigments, glazes and metal oxides for the ceramic industry, in cooperation with schools in the Modena area, is continuing successfully.
The project aims to inform school students of the potential for future study and work in the chemistry sector and consists of a series of lectures illustrating the numerous professional opportunities offered by the chemistry industry in Italy. According to Federchimica figures, the sector employs about 115,000 workers in Italy, equivalent to 10% of Europe-wide employment in the industry. 90% of chemistry graduates find work within three years of graduating, 95% of sector workers have a permanent contract and 25% of employees have a university degree.
The next appointment will be on Friday 10 February 2012 at the Istituto Comprensivo in Castellarano, followed on 9 March by the Bursi middle school in Fiorano Modenese and on 26 April by the Formiggini high school in Sassuolo.
