US tile and stone exhibition Coverings 2009 kicks off
McCormick Place in Chicago is ready to host the 20th Coverings (21-24 April 2009), the leading international exhibition of ceramic tiles and natural stone. More than 37,000 visitors are expected, while 900 exhibitors from some 50 countries will be showcasing their products in a net exhibition space of 60,000 sq.m.
The event will be an excellent opportunity for establishing and consolidating commercial relationships and as usual will be showcasing the latest trends, including the finest creativity and advanced materials solutions. The major tile producer countries will all be represented at the show, led by Italy, Spain and Brazil.
Like every year, Italy will be presented by the collective Ceramic Tiles of Italy mark in a pavilion bringing together some 50 companies that give extensive coverage and visibility to Italian products.
The show will host the presentation ceremony for the Spectrum and Prism awards, which will be presented to innovative projects involving the use of tile and stone in architecture.
Coverings also offers more than 80 professional training seminars backed by practical demonstrations.
