Venus Ceramica takes over Mapisa

21/08/07 - The Spanish company Venus Ceramica, part of the Greek industrial group Hatzgergiou, has recently bought over shares in Mapisa, a ceramic company specializing up to now in red body floor and wall tiles, founded in Castellon in 1973.
Venus has also recently bought the Nules plant from the ceramic company Rocersa, whose affairs have been moved to the new production zone of Alcora.

Venus intends to triple its production capacity by 2008 with these new developments, bringing it to 12 million square meters, against its current 4, while at the same time equipping its plants with the best technologies available to create high quality products.

Venus Ceramics closed 2006 with a turnover of over 32 million euro with exports of 88% of the total production.
