Witgert invests in a new warehouse
Witgert, a long-running German producer of clays and ceramic bodies with a history dating back no fewer than eight generations, completed the construction of its new storage warehouse at its site in Herschbach in August this year.
Built in the space of just six months, the concrete and steel structure has 18 storage bays allowing for greater flexibility in the production of customer-oriented clay blends as well as greater use of secondary raw materials.
Founded in 1820, Witgert will mark its 200th anniversary this year, an event that will be celebrated in Herschbach on 19 June together with customers, suppliers and employees.
Each year, Witgert supplies around 150,000 tons of ceramic raw materials worldwide with an export share of 50%. Its main markets are Eastern Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and the Far East.
