The company has signed a memorandum of understanding with Enel that includes the complete electrification of a Laminam factory and the development of renewables.
Laminam continues its international growth and expansion strategy with the acquisition of its first plant in Spain. Equipped with SUPERA® slab technology from SITI B&T Group, the factory joins the company’s existing facilities in Italy and Russia.
SITI B&T Group has contributed to the expansion of Laminam’s plant in Borgo Val di Taro (Parma) with its technologies for the raw material preparation department.

Laminam will supply 2,300 sq.m of ceramic panels treated with Hydrotect® technology as the external cladding of the Hotel Nodo, currently under construction in Santiago de Chile.
Franco Stefani has now also sold Laminam. CEO Alberto Selmi will increase his stake and continue to lead the company. The deal is expected to close during the summer.
Laminam’s revenues reached 110 million euros in 2018 (+30% on 2017). Sales of large size ceramic panels were strong both on the exports markets and in Italy (+20%). Russia and China are showing very good growth trends.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Monday 27 March, the day before the start of Batimat. The plant has a production capacity of 1 million sq.m/year of porcelain panels in a 1000x3000 mm size and thicknesses of 3 and 5 mm.
Due to their perfect flatness, extremely low weight and excellent physical and mechanical properties, Laminam largesize ceramic panels are widely used in architecture and interior design.
The operation will enable Laminam to establish a direct presence in Russia and ensure greater proximity to end customers for more effective and rapid distribution.
