Metco is launching its Nobacter05 surface treatment onto the global market. This solution halts the proliferation of colonies of microorganisms.

The Eco-Ink project (co-financed as part of the EU Horizon 2020 programme) aims to develop eco-friendly organic-solvent-free water-based digital inks for the production of polished porcelain tiles.

Metco and Gloss-Mach have set up a newco specialising in the development of systems for the surface treatment of ceramics and marble.

The range of SSI Solvent Soluble Inks from Metco is now certified by Xaar for use with Xaar GS12C and GS40C variants of the Xaar 1003 printhead and the Xaar 2001-GS12C.

Metco is returning to the Kromatech section of Tecnargilla (Hall D5, stand 006) to present the completion of its “Magnificent Surfaces” project after developing the SSI Soluble Solvent Inks system, better known by the brand name SinkMet.

The new products developed by Metco serve to fill the open microporosity on the surfaces with different solutions.

Sinkmet soluble colours can be used on full-body porcelain tile to obtain veins and extraordinary aesthetic effects without the aid of glaze or glass sandwiching, while maintaining the technical qualities of porcelain.
