CERMAX 4001 AND ASTRA PRINT BY POLIGRAPH

CERMAX 4001 AND ASTRA PRINT BY POLIGRAPHAt Tecnargilla, Poligraph is displaying its latest new screen printing products, Cermax 4001 and Astra Print. The most innovative feature of Cermax 4001 is that it eliminates the two steps of engraving the photolithographic film and printing onto the screen. With this technique, the file can be transferred directly from the computer to the screen, transforming the graphic design into engraved points. Using an Inkjet system, the image is transferred directly onto the photosensitive gelatine that covers the screen. By eliminating the film it is possible to achieve point by point control over the exposure and the engraving. This process allows for a more uniform and clearly defined print of the design, thereby ensuring consistent repetition. When engraving a number of screens for the same product, Cermax 4001's automatic electronic control system ensures that the starting point of the print and face centring are kept constant. The Astra Print system features rollers manufactured using a new silicone resin and a latest-generation engraving device and delivers outstanding screen printing results. The key strength of Astra Print technology lies in the innovative high-power laser equipped with a fully automatic focusing system that allows the engraving to be maintained constant. The rollers have a rigid core available in various sizes and covered with new silicone mixes of various consistency and can be used with any kind of rotary screen printing machine. This technology can also be used to decorate smooth or lightly textured surfaces right up to the edge of the tile without any change in printing definition. These characteristics contribute to making Astra Print an outstanding technology for the production of both floor and wall tiles. Tecnargilla 2002: Hall B5, Stand 012-014
