Tecnargilla Preview - Gamma 75 HD, the latest addition to the Durst family
Gamma 75 HD, the latest addition to the Durst family of digital printers for the ceramic sector, is equipped with advanced Grayscale High Definition technology capable of regulating the quantity of ink used so as to choose between drops of different sizes. This makes it possible to modulate the intensity of colours so as to obtain greater colour stability and sharpness of details for realistic 3D effects. Furthermore, the use of droplets of ideal dimensions makes it possible to print more quickly than systems that use excessively small droplets, which have to fire a larger number of droplets onto the surface resulting in lower productivity and density. A further advantage is the extremely rapid expulsion system which ensures that each droplet is positioned with precision on the tile surface, thereby avoiding all imperfections. Furthermore, Gamma 75 HD has 5 colour channels. The use of an additional channel with respect to the conventional four-colour process allows for example for the use of white or brown colours. Brown in particular can be used for decorating wood and stone. Loading the fifth channel with brown avoids the need for magenta, which instead is required in the four-colour process. This makes the printing process faster and cheaper. Furthermore, when using white it is essential to be able to deposit large quantities of ink and this is a unique property of Durst Gamma. Gamma 75 HD is 4 times faster than other solutions currently available, even when printing at a resolution of 360x480 dpi, corresponding to a speed of 36 m/min. For special applications with even more vivid colours and maximum covering power, Gamma 75 HD has a maximum resolution of 360x600 dpi with a production speed of 30 m/min.
