Tecnargilla Preview - The new digital roller printing of System

By integrating digital and engraved roller printing, the System group is presenting a major novelty at Tecnargilla 2008. The main objective of a systematic approach to decoration is to reach major targets in terms of performance and cost over the machine’s entire lifecycle. Operation, maintenance and technical support costs are considerably lower than with exclusively digital technology. Alongside the other tools that System offers its customers, the group is now presenting this new digital printing system that can be applied with the utmost simplicity to Rotocolor decoration lines. By entering the field of inkjet technology, System is now able to create the digital heads that complement the roller technology used by the Rotocolor systems, particularly for low production volumes, creating mixed lines that are increasingly popular on the market.

With Rotodigit, the digital printing kit to be installed on Rotocolor, the System group is also introducing two new cylinders as a plug-and-play system for the Rotocolor units installed worldwide which now amount to 15,000 units, many of which are already integrated with the new OneTone ink management system. Saving space and at the same time maintaining the existing layouts enables this new solution to be introduced more easily to the ceramic industry.
In general, System’s new decoration solution (i.e. Rotodigit, Rotocolor, RotoRollers and OneTone) now enable ceramic manufacturers to achieve photographic quality printing definition, to decorate even very pronounced textures and edges, to manage independent printing units for each ink, to protect and optimise ink usage, to maximise the useful lifetime of the printing heads, to choose the most suitable technology according to specific requirements, and to incorporate various technologies within the same overall dimensions so as to optimise space management.

At Tecnargilla System is also presenting Ecopack, the new sorting line with revolutionary packaging, and Lamcut, the new line for cutting Laminam sheets.
