A positive outlook for the European construction industry through to 2021
According to the 86th Euroconstruct Conference report, building production in the area will grow until 2021 (+2.8% in 2018).
The 86th Euroconstruct Conference, held in Paris on 22 and 23 November last year, confirmed a broadly positive outlook for the period through to 2021.
For the first time in many years, in 2017 all 19 Euroconstruct countries recorded an increase in construction output, contributing to record 4.1% growth in volume across the entire region with respect to the previous year.
The upward trend is expected to continue in 2018 with 2.8% growth, followed by a slower average annual growth rate of 1.6% over the three-year period 2019-2021.
