Project for 100,000 affordable houses launched in Argentina

The Argentine Ministry of the Interior, Public Works and Building has announced the launch of projects for the construction of more than 60,000 houses out of the 100,000 planned as part of the government’s affordable housing programme entitled "100 mil Viviendas + Trabajo".

The programme was launched in March and will require a joint effort between the public sector, private building firms and banks for the construction of housing units at a 10% lower price than the average market value and with the opportunity for buyers to obtain low interest rate mortgages.

In total the government plans to build around 100,000 new homes by early 2019, a project that will certainly benefit employment by creating new jobs.
