Coloronda, Argenta, Efi-Cretaprint and the joint project by Neos Additives, Azuliber and Bestile have won the Alfa de Oro 2020 awards, the prestigious accolades presented by the Spanish Ceramic and Glass Society (SECV) each year at Cevisama to outstanding projects in terms of innovation.
Neos Additives, Azuliber and Bestile won the jury award for the KLUSSS project, a ceramic-polymer composite with advanced sound-absorbing characteristics capable of reducing noise levels by 96% compared to traditional ceramics, thereby creating ceramic floors with the same level of acoustic comfort as carpets and rugs.
Argenta was honoured for the development of a system with antistatic properties for the production of ceramic floors with high electrical conductivity.
In the glaze and colour sector, the Alfa de Oro award went to Coloronda for the CeramiTherm project, the first ceramic glaze with thermal properties capable of giving porcelain stoneware the sensation of warmth typical of natural wood.
Last but not least, in the machinery sector, Efi-Cretaprint picked up the Alfa de Oro award for developing hybrid digital ink injection technology capable of using solvent-based and water-based inks at the same time.
