All set up for Cevisama 2014
Cevisama, the International Ceramics Exhibition for Architecture, Bathroom and Kitchen Equipment, Natural Stone, Raw Materials, Frits, Glazes, Colours and Machinery, holds its next edition from 11 to 14th February 2014.
The Exhibition occupies the eight halls on levels 2 and 3 at Feria Valencia and presents a selection of over 600 exhibiting companies and brands from 40 countries.
As usual every two years, this year edition sees also the participation of exhibitors in the sector of machinery and technology for the ceramic industry, a sector that accounts for over 10% the total supply of Cevisama.
Regarding the sector of frits, glazes and colours, as usual Cevisama 2014 hosts all the major Spanish and international companies.
Internationalization is one of the big goals for Cevisama 2014, which aims to beat the record in the number of international visitors of the previous edition: 12.323 foreign visitors from 139 Countries, 20% of the total influx. This positive record reflects the upward trend of the Spanish ceramic tile exports.
Among the ancillary events, the Alfa de Oro Awards (now at its 38th edition), that recognize the added value of products and ceramic machineries of the companies participating in Cevisama; and the exhibit Trans Hitos, set-up in the centre of the fairgrounds, which shows the various possible applications of ceramic materials. The main novelty of the fair is a project by The Harvard University which consists in a ceramic lid with double curvature that, floating about 3 metres off the ground, allows a view from different angles.
Beside Cevisama, two further fairs will take place in the same days at Feria Valencia: Habitat (furniture, lighting, decoration and home textiles) and Fimma - Maderalia (machinery, technology and interior design and construction with wood), which are part of the event "See You in Valencia 2014". The Valencian week will include seminars, workshops, exhibitions and "showrooms", both within the fairgrounds and around the city, in order to create a global offering at international level around the building sector and the interior architecture.
