Alliance from Siti-B&T Group e Projecta Engineering

Complementing its range of technological offerings so as to provide a better service to world markets was the strategy behind the Formigine-based Siti - B&T Group's decision to acquire a majority shareholding in Projecta Engineering, a company that specialises in the design and construction of digital printing machinery for ceramic tiles.

"Over the last nine years we have conducted in-depth studies of the growth and future potential of digital printing in the field of ceramic decoration as well as the technological solutions available from the market players," explained Siti - B&T Group's managing director Fabio Tarozzi.

"Of these, the technological systems that are designed, manufactured and sold by Projecta Engineering recently attracted our attention for their unique characteristics: a wide range of machinery that meets the various requirements of tile producers; a long list of credits including machines installed and operating in the factories of the leading Italian and international ceramic companies, which after buying their first machine have gone back to Projecta for repeat purchases; and the development of proprietary technology."

"The fact that we have developed the hardware and software technology for our machines internally has always been the main characteristic that sets us apart from the majority of our competitors," affirms Projecta Engineering's managing director Vincenzo Palumbo. "This allows us to steer technological development and adapt our machines to the latest innovations developed by our R&D department while offering customers an outstanding pre and after sales service and professional consulting that goes beyond mere technical support."

The machines produced by Projecta Engineering use the very best of eight-level (expandable to twelve) Greyscale digital printing technology (using different sized ink drops), which allows for more intense images and ink savings compared to the binary printing method.

The strategic agreement has resulted in a new and entirely Italian-owned company that enjoys a leadership position in one of the most rapidly growing technological sectors in recent years.

On the basis of the strategic agreement between the two companies, Projecta Engineering will be responsible for technical and industrial development and for the design and construction of a range of machinery for ceramic tile decoration using both digital and traditional decoration technologies. Siti - B&T Group will use its worldwide marketing network to promote, distribute and sell the machines built by Projecta Engineering.
