Apadana Ceram starts up production
Production began last October at the giant factory owned by Apadana Ceram, the newly-formed Iranian company which is destined to become one of the largest tile manufacturers in the world.
The ceramic company, named after the palace of Darius the Great in Persepolis, will be capable of producing more than 30 million sq.m of tiles a year (100,000 sq.m/day) when fully operational.
At this initial stage, Apadana has started up production of double fired wall tiles which will shortly be joined by glaze and unglazed porcelain tile, all produced using the latest and most innovative technologies.
The local management has proven professionalism and experience in the Iranian ceramic industry and is supported by a technological and product development partnership with the Cooperativa Ceramica d'Imola Group.
Apadana Ceram will also be the first ceramic company in Iran with an ERP company management system, giving it an excellent level of computerised management and integration.
