Azarakhsh chooses dry preparation technology from Manfredini & Schianchi
The Iranian company Azarakhsh International Refractory Brick Manufacturer Group, well known for the production of pavers and facing bricks with low water absorption and high mechanical strength, has commissioned Manfredini & Schianchi to supply a dry process raw materials preparation plant.
The system will be installed in the new factory located in the city of Qom, not far from the historic site in Azarakhsh, and will supply the company’s strip brick production line.
The supplied plant has a capacity of around 40 tons/hour and consists principally of two hammer mills (P.I.G-MAXIHD) equipped with double grills to obtain a product with 60% fine material. There are also four high-yield screens (MS265) complete with self-cleaning and automatic opening systems, as well as two Madirex granulation plants with automatic system for infeed flow control and automatic moisture control (DMS device). The supply contract also includes two feeding, batching and selection systems (MS930).
The new facility will begin full-scale production by the end of the year and will have a production capacity of 140,000 pieces (85 tonnes) per day, with the ability to handle production peaks of up to 100 tonnes per day.
For Manfredini & Schianchi, which has been doing business with Iran for more than 20 years, this marks yet another major commission in an area that is expected to see rapid expansion in the high-quality construction materials sector.
