Base Coat System from Ancora Group

Building on the experience acquired with Hi Coat Coating System, Ancora Group has developed a new in-line protective surface treatment for porcelain tile and natural stone called Base Coat.

This new offering expands the Hi Coat range of processes and products for end-of-line treatment and allows greater freedom to choose different applications simply by changing the accessories mounted on the machine (roller or spray). Base Coat, developed 100% with nanotechnologies and completely water based, guarantees treated materials for around a year. It is applied in-line by means of a dedicated roller that distributes the product uniformly over the entire surface of the tile. Its application creates a water and oil-resistant barrier on the surface of the material that increases its brightness, protects it from the most common water and alcohol based staining agents and makes it easy to clean.

The Hi Coat brand name was created as a partnership between the Sassuolo-based Ancora Group, which provided its experience in the field of ceramic sector machinery, and the German chemicals firm Nanoquadrat.
