The Beautiful Minds at Cersaie explores aesthetics and design
Friday 2 October will be the second day devoted to architecture at Cersaie 2009.
Starting at 11.00 a.m., Sala Italia in the Palazzo dei Congressi will host a talk by architect Michele De Lucchi, one of the masters of Italian design. Following welcome remarks by Vittorio Borelli, Chairman of Confindustria Ceramica’s Promotional Activities Commission, and talks by Aldo Colonetti and Dante Donegani, Michele De Lucchi will address the theme of “Living through history”.
The subsequent meeting with young emerging talents from the world of design will provide an introduction to the ideas competition entitled “Beautiful Ideas” for the concept of the poster for Cersaie 2010, reserved for students at the major Italian architecture faculties and the leading design institutes that have been invited to take part. The concept must be able to represent the values embodied in the theme of “Ceramic Eden”, envisaged as a transition phase towards new models of consumption and living in which research and projects identify a positive interaction between individual well-being and habitats.
Through their ideas, the young designers will highlight the distinctive character of experiments conducted with ceramic products.
