Brazil: Gyotoku expands in the porcelain tile segment
Gyotoku, one of the largest Brazilian ceramic companies, is continuing to strengthen its presence in the porcelain tile segment.
The investments being made at the two facilities in Souzano and Mogi Guaçu (including the installation of new Sacmi presses and Ancora polishing machines) will increase porcelain tile production to 400,000 square metres/month by the end of the year, equivalent to 20% of the group’s total production.
The Brazilian ceramic company’s management is also optimistic in the light of results achieved in recent years. Turnover in 2007 increased by 40% compared to the previous year, which in turn was up by 30% on 2005. Gyotoku exports about 15% of its output, mainly to the North and South American markets.
