Caroma adopts high-pressure casting technology from Sacmi
At its factory in Sydney, the Australian firm Caroma Dorf has retired its last plaster moulds, replacing them with Sacmi resin moulds capable of operating at a pressure of 15 bar. The company has also installed an ALS 150 casting system featuring robotic demoulding and served by laser-guided vehicles (LGVs).
The start-up of the ALS 150 casting system is the latest step in a longstanding industrial partnership between Caroma and Sacmi. A total of 17 Sacmi machines for high-pressure casting of vitreous china products are currently being used by the Australian manufacturer. The ALS now joins the models AVE, AVM and ADM.
