Casalgrande Padana launches the Casalgrande Ceramic Cloud project
Casalgrande Padana has obtained on loan from the municipality of Casalgrande (RE) a 2,826 square metre green area alongside the Pedemontana road next to its factory for the construction of a large artistic and architectural work created by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma.
The prestigious construction, named Casalgrande Ceramic Cloud, will be made from hi-tech ceramic and will be forty metres long and five metres high. Depending on the point of observation and ambient conditions, a play of light and shadow will lend dynamism to the construction and make it an integral part of the environment.
This project, conducted in collaboration with the Universities of Ferrara and Catania, will give Casalgrande Padana the opportunity to explore innovative use of its ceramic products in architectural applications.
