Celima (Peru) installs a new dry grinding line
Celima, a leading Peruvian ceramic manufacturer, will be starting up a new dry grinding line in early 2009 that will allow it to reach an output of around 50,000 sq.m/day of tiles with high technical and aesthetic value but competitive production costs.
The technology partner for the operation is the Italian group LB which in late 2008 supplied the new grinding line with MRV 200 vertical roller mill to substitute a series of existing pendular mills. The specific technical and construction characteristics of the MRV mill make it possible to obtain very small particle sizes, resulting in higher finished product quality, and allow for the production of materials with high technical and aesthetic value that previously could only be obtained by means of wet grinding processes.
