Durst Full Digital Glaze Line unveiled in Japan
Following its successful presentation at Tecnargilla, the Durst Full Digital Glaze Line is attracting keen interest in Japan where Durst’s local sales partner Goto Inc. unveiled the innovative digital tile glazing, decoration and finishing line at the fourth technology conference of the Japan Ceramic Machinery Association (JCMA).
The all-in-one solution comprises the newly developed Durst Gamma DG for digital glazing and the latest generation of 8-colour ceramic printers from the Durst Gamma XD 4.0 series, and is controlled by a central workflow software. The Japanese tile producers were impressed by the tremendous potential offered by the production line in combination with the new effect inks. The design variations on the sample tiles presented by Durst attracted huge interest. Durst Digital Glaze allows a complete top layer of glaze to be applied to tiles, and real structures with extra-fine definition and high-thickness relief to be created.
Shoichiro Goto, Managing Director of Goto Inc., also unveiled the current Durst Ceramics Printing portfolio with its flagship Gamma 108 XD 4.0 model. Equipped with DM (Digital Material) printhead technology, it uses especially large volumes of ink (over 100 g/m2) to achieve the highest quality printing.
