Esfel invests in advanced technology from LB
The company has installed a new micronisation line for the production of feldspar and quartz for the ceramic industry and glaze and frit production.
Esfel, a company based in Cuenca, Ecuador, and part of the Corporación Empresarial Eljuri group, has completed a major investment in micronisation technology for hard raw materials (feldspar and quartz) for use in the ceramic industry and in glaze, frit and colour production.
Aimed at optimising production processes and costs while delivering a higher quality finished product than previous configurations, the company has recently installed a state-of-the-art micronisation plant supplied by LB. The line covers the entire process from loading hopper to wind separator and is capable of producing 2.5 tonnes per hour of finely ground material with a particle size below 70 microns.
At the heart of the plant is a 15,000-litre MCS ball mill equipped with Alubit linings and grinding charge, which ensures highly efficient milling, lowers costs and increases production capacity.
